Mesquite Root ("the App") is developed and maintained by Foxy Ninja Studios. The App is a positioning sensor application available on iOS and Android, designed to work exclusively with Mesquite Mocap dongles. This privacy policy explains how the App collects, uses, and protects your information.
Information Collection and Use
🎥 Device Sensors
The App accesses your phone's camera, gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetometer to determine the device's position and orientation in 3D space. This sensor data is:
- ✓ Processed locally on your device
- ✓ Transmitted only to your local Mesquite.cc hardware via WiFi
- ✓ Never stored on the device
- ✓ Never transmitted to external servers or third parties
- ✓ Never used for any purpose other than position tracking
📡 Network Information
The App scans for and connects to WiFi networks with names matching the pattern "MM-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX" to identify Mesquite Mocap dongles. WiFi network information is:
- ✓ Used only to establish connection with Mesquite hardware
- ✓ Never stored or transmitted to third parties
- ✓ Deleted when the app is closed
✋ No Personal Information Collection
The App does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal information including:
- ✗ Names, email addresses, or contact information
- ✗ Location data outside of the local tracking session
- ✗ User accounts or profiles
- ✗ Analytics or usage statistics
- ✗ Advertising identifiers
Data Storage
The App does not store any data persistently on your device. All sensor data is processed in real-time and discarded after transmission to the connected hardware.
Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The App is designed for professional and educational use in motion capture applications.
Security
Sensor data transmitted to Mesquite Mocap dongle uses local WiFi networks. Users should ensure their WiFi network is secured with appropriate passwords. The default Mesquite dongle password is provided in user documentation and should be changed for security.
